Our Aims:

Northstead Community Pre-school adheres to the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (2021) and has amended their policies and procedures in order to meet the legal requirements.

The aims of Northstead Community Pre-school are to enhance the development and education of children primarily under statutory school age by encouraging physical, intellectual, emotional, social, moral and spiritual development within the setting.

Northstead Community Pre-school is a member of the Pre – school Learning Alliance (PLA) and we aim to provide the highest quality of care and education for all our children.

We aim to offer a welcome to each individual child and their families. We believe children and their families are entitled to expect courtesy and prompt careful attention to their needs and wishes. It is our intention to work in close partnership with parents, carers and other agencies including health and social care to create community cohesion.

We aim to provide a warm and caring environment within which all children may develop and learn whilst at play. We will provide appropriate play facilities, together with the opportunity for parents to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities within the group.

We aim to offer continuous support and encouragement to help all children and their parents settle and enjoy their time spent within the group.

We aim to actively encourage a good working relationship with all parents/carers at all times. No person will be discriminated due to colour, ethnic origin, religion, gender, disability, family or social status.

We aim to offer continuous training for all the staff in order for them to develop a professional perspective that will enhance all the children and their families in our care.

We will respect all children and their families and we promote utmost confidentiality and sensitivity when dealing with any situation.
